SBM Billpay is a convenient bill payment service that allows pre-registered SBM customers to pay their bills. This service has now been extended to mobile phones and is also known as my.t money. By simply sending an SMS from your mobile phone, you can settle your CEB electricity bills, CWA water bills, telephone bills of Mauritius Telecom and my.t Post Pay as well as pay your Income tax to the MRA with ease and convenience.
Existing my.t money customers can add a new bill to their account via SMS just by sending the appropriate keywords to 8088. You can hence register for a new bill without leaving home. Please find some examples below:

What is SBM Billpay?
SBM Billpay is a convenient bill payment service launched by SBM that allows pre-registered SBM customers to pay their CEB, CWA, Mauritius Telecom and my.t Post Pay bills through the network of all SBM ATMs and SBM POS terminals located at Winner’s. With SBM Billpay, you can also pay your Income Tax to the MRA through any SBM ATM. It is the perfect solution if you do not want to wait in line, but do like to verify your bills before you pay.
What is my.t money?
my.t money is a complementary service to SBM Billpay whereby you can also pay your electricity bills of CEB, water bills of CWA, telephone bills of Mauritius Telecom and my.t Post Pay as well as pay your Income tax of MRA through your mobile phone.
my.t money can also be used for your daily purchases at registered my.t money merchants bearing the my.t Logo.
Who can use these services?
This first-in-kind service on the island is available to any customer having a valid SBM Debit/Credit Card and is pre-registered for the service. To use SBM Billpay and/or my.t money, you have first to register for this service at any of our SBM service units.
Where can I use the SBM Billpay service?
Currently you can pay your CEB, CWA, Mauritius Telecom and my.t Post Pay bills as well as pay your Income Tax to the MRA.
More possibilities will be provided in near future. The CWA bill includes the WasteWater Management Authority (WMA) Bill.
What bills can I pay by using SBM Billpay and or my.t money?

I am a holder of an SBM card. Can I use these services?
No you cannot use the service unless you have been registered.
How can I register for SBM Billpay and or my.t money?
You can go to any SBM branch and fill out a registration form. Please bring your CEB, CWA, Mauritius Telecom or my.t Post Pay bills or else your Tax Account Number (TAN) along with you.
Can I register all my SBM cards (e.g my debit card, my VISA credit card and my Mastercard credit card) for the service?
Yes you can register and use any of the registered cards for settling your bills.
Can 2 different persons each having his/her own personal debit/credit card pay for the same bill account?
Yes provided that the different persons have registered their cards to be used for settling the same bill account.
As from when can I use the service after I have submitted my registration/application form?
You can use these services after 5 working days after having submitted your registration/application form if all information provided at the time of registration is correct.
Can someone not holding an SBM card use the service?
No. The requestor of the service has to open an SBM account and apply for a debit/credit card.
Is the service available on non-SBM ATMs or POS terminals?
No. SBM Billpay is an exclusive service available only on all SBM ATMS and on SBM POS terminals located at selected merchants (currently at Winner’s supermarkets only).
How many bills can I register for?
You can register and pay for a maximum of 3 bills per billing company.
Can I pay my bill through ATM/POS at any time?
Payment through ATM/POS can be done at any time. Instructions for payments received from the client at or before 22:00 hrs (Mauritian Standard Time) through ATM/POS will deem to have been made the same day. Instructions for payment made by the client after 22:00 hrs (Mauritian Standard Time) will be deemed to have been made on the next working day.
Customers are therefore, advised in their own interest, to pay their bills regularly at least 3 days prior to the last payment date stipulated by the billing company. Payments effected through ATMs/POS on weekends/public holidays will be processed the next working day.
Once I pay the bill, when will my account get debited and when will the billing company receive my payment?
Upon payment of the bill, your account will immediately be debited and the payment will be sent to the billing company on the payment day based on the payment being performed prior to 22hr00.
Do I get a receipt on payment of the bills?
Yes, you will get a transaction receipt bearing a Transaction Number acknowledging the receipt of your payment. Please use this for any future reference.
Your monthly or quarterly account statement sent by the Bank will also include the details of your transaction.
Will I continue to get bills in physical form?
Yes, you will continue to get the physical bill(s) from the billing company.
Can I pay bills of other persons also?
Yes, you may pay bills of other persons provided you have registered your debit/credit card for same.
Will the amount of bills payable automatically be displayed on the screen?
Amount to be paid for CWA bills and Mauritius Telecom/ my.t Post Pay bills will automatically be displayed on the ATM/POS screen. However, for CEB bills and MRA Income Tax payment, you have to manually enter the amount as printed on the bills.
Can I carry out part-payment of bills through SBM Billpay?
You can effect part-payment on CEB bills only. However, you must settle your CWA, Mauritius Telecom/ my.t and MRA payments in full.
Can I pay late bills?
Yes you can pay. However, when a customer makes payment for bills through ATMs or POS machines and SMS, the oldest outstanding bill for the billing company will be cleared first. On disconnection – please contact the billing company directly for payment.
Can I pay bills in advance?
Yes. Any payment made in excess of the amount due will be considered as an advance payment which will be adjusted against future bills.
What must I do if I lose my debit/credit card?
You must immediately notify the Bank in writing of the loss or theft of a card or of unauthorised acquisition of the Personal Identification Number (PIN) relating to your card.
What happens if there is a change in my bill number?
As per terms and conditions of SBM Billpay, you are required to inform the Bank in writing about any changes to your CEB/CWA/Mauritius Telecom/ my.t billing consumer numbers. Please refer to terms and conditions of SBM Billpay for more information.
Is there any fee associated with these services?
For SBM Billpay, a convenience fee of only Rs 2 is applicable per bill settled through ATMs and no such fee is charged on transactions carried out on POS at Winner's. For MRA tax payment on ATMs, a convenience fee of Rs 7.50 is applicable.

Where do I get my my.t money PIN?
Each registered my.t money customer was sent an my.t money PIN by registered post.
How do I get a new my.t money PIN?
Call on 8900 or visit a my.t Shop (Please bring along your National Identity card). Keep your PIN confidential. DO NOT DISCLOSE it to anyone else.
Can my my.t money PIN be changed?
my.t money Pin can be changed by dialling *8088# (customers) or call 8900 (you will receive new pin by post)
What do I do if I lost my my.t money PIN or Mobile?
Call on 8900 or visit a my.t shop and please bring along your National Identity Card.

Can I register for my.t money Merchant payment only?
Yes,You can go to any SBM branch or any my.t shops and fill out the registration form. Please bring your National Identity cards.

At any registered my.t money Merchant’s where the my.t money logo would be displayed.
