SBM is undertaking a series of initiatives this year to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Independence of Mauritius. In this context, an event entitled Honouring Mauritian was held on 20 June 2018, at SBM Tower, to reward Mauritians born on 12 March 1968. Around 50 beneficiaries, accompanied by their families, attended the event. Account holders received the sum of Rs 25,000 and non-account holders were awarded Rs 10,000.
The event was graced by the presence of the Hon. Sir Anerood Jugnauth, Minister Mentor, Minister of Defence and Minister of Rodrigues and his spouse, Lady Sarojini Jugnauth, and hosted by the Group Chairman of SBM Holdings Ltd, Mr. Kee Chong LI KWONG WING. Members of the different Boards of SBM, Bank Directors of the 50th Independence Anniversary sub-committee and Senior Management also attended the event.
